I would like to start by saying "Thank You" to all the restaurants and chefs out there that have supported us for the many years. I would like to apologize to the same group for not always having product for you. We have had some major difficulties the past couple of years due to drought (2 summers of drought destroyed 18,000 shiitake logs) and other issues. Through it all, we have tried to maintain our customer relations. The past few months have been extremely difficult as we try to get our production numbers back up - we missed several deliveries because we simply didn't have product.
Things are changing though and our first bright spot in a long time is here ... our oyster mushrooms are back up and producing very well. This week, we really hit the over prodcution on Oyster Mushrooms and we have over 100# excess. I will be coming to Louisville on Thursday. Would really like to to have people eat these vice the compost pile. If anyone would like to start back with us or is just interested in occassional deliveries, please let us know. Also, though not something we normally do, if any individuals are interested in getting some oyster mushrooms from us, I can handle a few extra stops.
