For those of us who appreciate overstuffed deli food (the corned beef/pastrami type) Jasons appears to be opening a second location around 2 miles west of the current location . . . it's also on Hurstbourne, just West of I-64, in the shopping center with Staples across from the Swope Auto stores one way and across from the center with Shalimar/BT's/8Chinese et al the other. Right now, sign is up but store is empty.

Jason's Deli just opened in Shelbyville road Plaza across the lot from Joann Fabrics. 3 new places opened recently...Jason's, BW 3, and Butterfly Garden.

Ok does this mean there will be 3 Jason's Deli's in L-ville now? I love their salad bar and Muffaletta!

Is this a move for Butterfly Garden or a second location?

Second location for Butterfly Garden inside Dolfingers. They opened Monday, and at 11:30 there was a 30 minute wait. I didn't know about the 3rd Jason's.

I think this is good news as we head to Jason's occasionally after church on Sundays and it is next to impossible to find a table. They have consistently good food, a nice salad bar, and a cheap and tasty kids menu. It's not the greatest ever, but does the trick when we are with family who aren't quite as adventurous as we are. FYI it is taking over the spot that Blockbuster recently vacated.

The new store opening is around three to four weeks out based upon the current Eqpt. delivery schedule. This store is not quite as large as the new Shelbyville Rd. location but will offer the same fare. I thought that this third restaurant was rather close to the existing Hurstborne location, but after speaking to the owner "Jasons Deli Founders Son" who himself owns in excess of one hundred locations, his thoughts were to get geared up prior to "In his opinion" the upcoming economic turn around while construction costs are at an all time low and his competition have halted expansion.

You gotta love a bull market positive thinker, go boy...
