It can now be revealed ... Phil actually is Robert. There's a zombie movie script in this somewhere, but I can't find it.

I think Phil feels this forum pales in comparison to portlandhotbytes.com.

I kid. I kid.

Or sandiegohotbytes.com, newyorkhotbytes.com, bostonhotbytes.com, and the list goes on...
Clearly the posts are spread too far apart and it is not pedestrian, er, uh, user friendly.

I for one really hope he comes back (if he's actually gone) ...The Highlands Thread got a bit too personal/heated on both sides in my opinion. Other than that, he's been a siginificant contributor in a very short amount of time. Sorry I can't be at the event on the 15th to welcome him and Donna to town.

I won't say I'm back in the saddle again, John, but I'm working on it ... can only get over here in short bursts, though. :)

If I remember correctly, Phil's birthday is Monday and he and Donna were headed to Portland to celebrate. Has anyone else here actually met them in person besides myself and Gordy?? They are quite nice, very funny, extremely intelligent and very gracious. We had a ball when we met them for dinner a couple of weeks ago. I, for one, think we all need "stirring up" on occassion to keep us from becoming complacent. Go Phil!!!! (Just so you know, I was born in Louisville and have lived here most my life but have travelled quite a lot. I love Louavull and still think there's room for change and growth) He has posted threads that have really gotten this forum going....sorry, but its been rather boring lately. We haven't had this much fun since, since oh darn it since Robert!!!! AAAARRRGGGHHH!!! LOL

Ditto me as well.

Phil said a few things that were somewhat provocative, but he's entitled to his opinion and he's entitled to post those opinions here. Like someone else said, I have no problem with turning a critical eye on various issues in the city. No need to be complacent - there is almost always room for improvement in anything. I think a few folks quickly personally attacked him, and that wasn't right. For some, especially those that have lived in other places that are different, Louisville just takes some getting used to. He probably should have tempered his criticism a bit, but I think he was more just asking questions and trying to get his head around the city and what it has to offer. Maybe he could have said things better, but in my year + of posting here I've never seen anyone so personally criticized and attacked.

Phil, if you happen to read this, you should re-join the community here. Louisvillians tend to be more welcoming than the welcome you got from some here.
