catering for rehearsal dinner..

by David V » Tue Mar 10, 2009 1:56 pm

Hi-

I am currently in the process of trying to find a caterer for my rehearsal dinner. I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post, but after looking around I couldn't find anywhere else I might post it. Anyhow, we are looking to serve a buffet style dinner, since the wedding dinner will be a seated dinner, and are also looking to have some interesting appetizers passed around to start. We'd also like to work with a caterer who allows you to take care of the alcohol side of things on your own.

We're very interested in high quality food, and had originally wanted to do it at a restaurant around town, but the number of people attending made that difficult. My father has enjoyed several catered events with "finbar" as the caterer. After searching through this forum, I found one thread that seemed partial to "wiltshire" catering. We'd like to make the go rounds and try several different caterers before making a final decision. Aside from finbar and wiltshire, are there any others you would suggest we try out for a high quality buffet and appetizers?? Thank you..

Hi David -

Call Jarfi's Bistro Catering Division 589-5895. They are wedding and associated event veterans.

Since I work with caterers every weekend . . . in no particular order - Ladyfingers, Wiltshire, BAJ, Chardeaus are all easy to work with, have excellent food and consistently do a great job.

A third for Anoosh. He's a pleasure to work with and his food is outstanding.

Other than the two you've already mentioned you definitely need to talk to Ladyfingers 245-7734 and Anoosh.

Tons of people that post on a wedding website I used to go on recommend Les Naiman. Honestly, I've had no experience with them, but I've heard a lot of people using them.

I've only had one experience with Naiman's before, but the staff seemed very helpful and polite, and the food was delicious.
