Celebrity Sighting Contest thread

by Ron Taglieri » Wed May 02, 2007 9:07 pm

Well, its about that time for Derby glitterati to descend upon our favorite haunts.

I would challenge you to following:

1. Identify any celebs at a place you visit this weekend (I personally like B listers, like those who are on Surreal Life).

2. Report on what they order

3. Try and find out from server how they tipped/any good stories.

4. Extra credit: Approach them, ask them for a cell phone picture, and then say how much you loved them in a movie/tv show they never were on!!

I know that sounds a bit sadistic and juvenile, but is it really any worse than getting drunk and cursing a poor horse who finished out of the money?

Also, if the mockery that results from this keeps Kevin Federline and other poseurs out of this town, consider it a well-rendered public service.

I saw Ernie Fletcher at the National City Tower Monday. He wasn't taking questions nor was he allowing cell phone pix. Does this count as a celebrity sighting?
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

I posted what I did in a humorous vein. I thought my  guy indicated that. I'm not really sure good ol' Ernie is even a celebrity.

I wouldn't have moved the arrogant piece of craps car. Let it get towed. Convicted in a civil court of killing two people and still people fawn over him. I guess he is a celebrity because of infamy, but he is garbage. I don't understand how anybody can want him around.

Let me think for a few minutes and I will tell you how I really feel about him.

But the glove didn't fit! Give the man a break!

Seriously, though, one cannot be convicted in civil court. But, on balance of evidence, Mr. Simpson was found liable for damages.

Was Mr. Truffles handing out more oversized checks for new blacktop over good blacktop?

one year I was at a Derby dinner at the Seelbach hotel in the ballroom across from the party he (don't want to even dignify him by typing his name) was in. I found it amazing how people would flock to him to have their picture taken together! I think we as a society have adopted a perverse and distorted view of celebrity!

That was at least three years ago! Who keeps inviting that creep?

BTW he is much shorter in person!

For the record, he was gracious and humble, even when people approached his table while he was eating. very friendly, and actually had the decency to make reservations ahead of time instead of just showing up (like other celebs) and demanding a section be cleared for his party.

The father of the baby of you-know-who is in town too. Wonder if he'll show up at some of the events.

Reportedly he's going to the Barnstable Brown party, where he and Anna Nicole first met.

And the baby looks adorable. (On TV. I haven't seen her in person.)

So he actually has friends that will be seen in public with him?
