first time @ Mayan Cafe

Gary and a couple of friends and I enjoyed the Mayan Cafe last night. Wow. What a great place! Just wanted to add a note of appreciation here. That's a place we'll be enjoying a lot more of.

We've been sending a lot of our guests there for years in whatever form the restaurant was. (Mayan Gypsy, Mayan Cafe) Every one comes back happy.

One of the best deals in town and the food is out of this world. A true destination point.. . Family run and owned too.

We love their lima beans. And the duck mole, too.

Mayan Cafe is hard to beat.

The Chilaquile is unquestionably my favorite entree--ever. We're still trying to get "Poblano Implosion" back on the menu.

I had the pleasure of Hosting chef Bruce Ucan as my 109 show for the secrets and I have to tell you without a doubt one of the best salmon dishes and finest sauces I have ever had, fabulous textures, tastes and combinations utilizing plantains, anise, rose water, shrimp stock and italian parsley...it was a religious experience.
What a great guy, Jules and I will make it the next stop without a doubt. Thanks Bruce, we had a ball!
