You beat me to it Annemarie! I first went there for the holidays and did 5 dozen assorted minis - sheer delight! Our guests had a tough time choosing a favorite flavor among the array. The ladies there are lovely and the flavor assortment is excellent.

There is also Babycakes Cupcakery, 797-6370 http://www.babycakeslouisville.com/Cakes%20Oct2.swf and Cake Flour, a Natural Baking Company, 909 E. Market Street, 719-0172 http://cakeflouronmarket.com/contact.aspx

But personally, I'd send a PM to our own Marshsa L. She is the pastry chef for both Cafe Lou Lou's and she bakes killer cakes :!: I bet she would make cupcakes, too.

I've never tasted Marsh's Mango Dreamscle cake, but I could live on her coconut cake and I don't even have a sweet tooth. That woman has a way with cake. Her plain ole white cake tastes like manna from heaven.

We do cupcakes at Sweet Surrender also. Both normal size and mini, in a wide variety of flavors.

While I have never tried Leah's cupcakes, I am 100% certain they are brilliant. She is so amazing at anything she creates. On a side note, if she's to in-undated with her day to day responsibilities, The Cupcake Shoppe is a superfluous choice for these childhood wonders. Try them out.

Thanks Rob. Almost never too busy. And I generally bake every day. After all, baking is what I do for living. :D

This place has some of the driest cup cakes in town! The 2 times I gave them a chance...all icing on top of sawdust.

I've been to the cupcake shoppe twice and felt that both times the cupcake were very good, but you do have to eat them that day as they get stale quickly due to not having preservatives in them. I haven't tried the ones at the Farmer Market yet, and I will definitely be giving you a call Leah after I finish my weight loss boot camp. : lol:

This is really news to me, as I normally have about 2-3 a week from there, and they have all been delightful.
