Brian, I'm sorry but this may be an instance where the online forum isn't a good way to transfer information. I offered an opinion about my experience at BMCH and suggested a possible explanation as to why recent visitors might have had disappointing coffee. You pointed out that my explanation was incorrect, which I acknowledged with one of my typically weak jokes about a bad hypothesis. I can't think of a single thing I wrote that questioned or dispraged your opinion of BMCH. Taste is subjective and "chacun son truc".

No big deal. My sense of humor isn't very well developed. Or necessarily funny.

Maybe so. But, you'd be surprised at my preferences in coffee. At home we grind Sunergos beans. I lean towards Jackson's Organic on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Generally, BMCH gets my business when I want to sit and use wi-fi and work while I have a cup. Truthfully, these are all pretty good places to drink coffee IMO. My favorite overall has to be Jackson's. Best combination of environment and coffee for me is BMCH. Then again, it's all subjective. Like the entire forum.

Well, thank you and congratulations on joining the company of my mother and wife. They think I'm funny occasionally. Speaking of bizarre hypotheses, I'm curious to know if anyone in Louisville is interested in molecular gastronomy.

Totally one of my favorite places in Louisville.

(finally figured out the quote thingie - d'oh!)

Caffe Classico is my favorite coffee place in town - great coffee, great location, great ambience, friendly proprietor. I've never been to BMCH, though. Anybody that's been to both have a preference?

Yes, I've been to both. I'd rate the coffee pretty much a dead heat and give the edge to BMCH for ambiance.

I tend to get flavored coffee drinks, and I have to have decaf. The Cubism at BMCH is my fav.
