Folks,
These things were a staple some years ago at Tumbleweed.
A great conveyor for salsa etc.
Are they on the menu anywhere ,anymore ?
If you have info please share.

Wasn't that the big round white flour tortilla, laid flat, covered with yellow cheese and run under the broiler until the cheese was molten? My wife LOVED those, and we still make them at home often. (It's just as easy as what I just said.)

I haven't seen them on any menu since The Weed stopped offering them, though, and that's been a long time.

I can't wait to tell my wife, Mary, that someone else remembers them. :)

I worked for Tumbleweed in its infancy back in the late 70's and early 80's, and I think the employees ate more Cheese Flour Crisps (CFC as they were on the orders) than the patrons. These were great snacks. The favorite was the one that was layer with refried beans, then the burrito meat, followed by cheese and topped with jalapenos. I'm drooling just thinking about it.
Have a Good Day!

Soon to be replaced by a "Flatbread Pizza" coming to your location in the near future.

The Tumbleweed on Charlestown Rd. will still make them if you ask. I had one not too long ago. I was also a huge fan of the smaller Cheese Corn Crisp.

Tumbleweed made them for us in the past. Haven't been to a Tumbleweed since the river one opened and there were the bad food inspections.
My husband likes calzones and will request one occassionally from the restaurants that did make them and still make pizzas.

We just use Cheddar, and I think Tumbleweed did - or maybe even American. Something more authentic would be easy with queso blanco or queso fresco, though!
