I don't hate it, Todd.But to me it's so idiosyncratic that it really blows the notion that it's NYC-style pizza.

In this case, yeah, I'd say so. I've lived in NYC off and on, and eaten a lot of pizza there. I think I can recognize the genre when I see it. J Train's isn't it (even though the subway photos on the walls are), and that folded edge is definitely not NYC. It might be good, but yeah, you can prove it.
