Greek Sausage

by Kim H » Sat Feb 14, 2009 4:03 am

Does anyone know where I can get Greek sausage in town? I saw it listed on a Greek menu here on Long Island, where I'm visiting my sister. I didn't order it, but it sounded intriguing - menu said it containted hints of orange and cinnamon. I don't need the orange flavor, but the cinnamon was appealing to me. It made me wonder if there's anywhere in Louisville serving something like this, or even better, selling it retail. TIA!

You might call Whole Foods. They make a surprising variety of ethnic-style sausages, and I recall (for instance) betting some pretty good Moroccan lamb sausage (merguez) there once upon a time.

Sadly, Greek restaurants are thin on the ground in Louisville, and I wouldn't really have looked to the last one for authentic ingredients.
