Corbett's Last Minute Question

by Bonnie E. » Sat Feb 07, 2009 6:09 pm

Very last minute. What is appropriate attire for the evening there? Gal on the phone said "business casual, we like to discourage jeans" Anyone know? Should gentlemen wear jackets? Ties? Ladies dresses/skirts? THANKS!

Ties and jackets are definitely not needed. A nice sweater and slacks would work for either men or women. I actually did wear jeans there for lunch, and that seemed okay. I would say you definitely don't need to wear a skirt or dress unless you just want to. On the other hand, if you'd like to dress up I don't think you could possibly dress up "too much".

Enjoy! I'm envious.

I'm envious, too, and I would generally agree, Marsha.

Personally, I would wear a good sport jacket and tie at Corbett's, but ever since Mary turned me on to Salvatore Ferragamo, I actually LIKE wearing ties. I don't think the tie is necessary, but I do think most people would feel more comfortable being just a little dressy for Corbett's at dinner. At lunch, not quite so much.
