Mexican Market

Does anyone know of a good Mexican Market where I can get quality authentic Mexican food and beer? I'm specifically looking for a beer by the name of "Sol".

You should be able to find Sol at any large liquor store (Liqour Barn..). As far as a mexican market, try My Patria on Lyndon Lane. The do don't have beer, but it is worth a visit.

I am pretty sure Sol is not available at Liquor barn. The only place I have seen it locally is in Southern Indiana where it seems to be everywhere, even gas stations. I have never seen it on this side of the river though.

Sol is not available in Kentucky, but we do have it in Indiana, and of course have it at (insert shameless plug here) Keg Liquors. The are available in 32 oz bottles, 6 packs, and 12 packs.

Kris,

There is another great Mexican Market off Old Lagrange Road ( but I'm pretty sure they don't sell beer). They make their own sausages, including chorizo. I can't find the name at the moment, but they are on 1746 , near Iceland/the UPS Commercial Park. They are on the right side in the same shopping center as El Tarasco ( right before Champs).

Great ingredient selection, and their own on-site butcher and sausage maker. And a Tacqueria next door ( same owner). I think they stock every chile known to man. They also have great prices on their meat: last time I was there they had a special of 3 lbs of steak ( your choice of cuts) for only $9.99.

What more could you ask for? ( except your Sol  )

There is also a Mexican grocery store down the street from Keg Liquors, called La Rosita (not to be confused with the restaurant in New Albany) that has a butcher on site, is stocked full of great food. I buy my Coca Cola for home consumption from them, as it is the version made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup. They also have a Tacqueria inside. Just know your Spanish when you come in and order from the Tacqueria. There are some very interesting items on the menu (but very tasty items as well.) It is on Blackiston Mill Road, right behind the Speedway gas station on the corner of Lewis and Clark and Blackiston Mill Road.
