It was an incredible meal with great service! While pricey, it is wonderful for a special occasion, and they are good-sized portions. We started out sharing several appetizers: the pommes frites with a creamy, mayo-like sauce; wild mushroom ravioli; and a salad of greens with delicious hot-water cornbread, country ham, and a fried egg!
For our entrees, my dad got the seafood special (halibut, shrimp, scallops), my mom got a half-order of the "Hot Not Brown" (fried green tomatoes, crab, mornay sauce with a side of a (gigantic) baked potato with fried oysters and sorghum sauce), and I got the lamb loin with cabbage and lentils. All of these were very tasty! And the rolls that came before our meal were very good as well (both wheat rolls and a flat crispy bread that tasted of cumin).
For dessert, we shared a good sized portion of vanilla bean creme brulee with whipped cream and a big strawberry.
We also shared a bottle of Riesling (didn't pay attention to the name...they just recommended the one we got...and it was very nice!)
It's crazy that I didn't even guess Winston's because they were mentioned on the board in regards to the upcoming Salvation Army event on the 10th.
