Nice press for Derby City Espresso

by Todd Antz » Mon Feb 02, 2009 11:18 am

Great article on Derby City Espresso and owner Matthew Landan (Crow) today in the Courier Journal. I won't put the link up to the story so that we don't get illicit advertising boosts for Gannett, but congratulations to Derby City and Matthew!

I saw the article this morning too, surprisingly revealing for a C-J piece. Hopefully it brings more business Matt's way!

Go ahead and post the link, Todd. When it involves celebrating an active forum member, I'm more than willing to let Gannett have the hits. I'd like to avoid just routinely loading them up with links, but in this case, good publicity for Matthew trumps my bitterness for Gannett. ;)

I don't know her - she came after my time - but it is almost beyond debate that Katya Cengel is the best feature writer at the CJ. Like the short-lived Pableaux and a few others, I'm not sure why whe works for Gannett, but she does in fact add value to a sinking newspaper.

(CJ did leave a lot of good stuff in that article. Too bad they edit virtually everything out of their "news" articles that cover the world. I do subscribe to CJ for the shop, mainly for local news coverage - like this one!)
