Javier's Gourmet Mexicano is an upscale Mexican restaurant located a couple of blocks off US 75, north of central downtown Dallas...as the name implies, Javier's features a menu that you're probably not likely to encounter among Mexican restaurants that we have in this area....not necessarily superior quality, but different and worth a try...I've eaten there on a couple of occasions, and always enjoyed it....Javier's can be a little pricey, but they have a website that you can visit -- http://www.javiers.net.

The French Roomat the Adolphus Hotel. If you have the money and/or time. Chef Jason Weaver super nice and very talented. The last time I was there I had the duck trio, one part was a duck confit creme brulee. It totally blow my mine, yellowish tan free standing totally smooth, prefectly burnt sugar. This is one of the best things I have ever eaten. Here is a list of some awards they have recieved.
The 2006/2007 Zagat Survey named it the #1 hotel restaurant in America, Travel & Leisure chose it for its rankings of “America’s Top 50 Restaurants” and the “twenty-five best dining experiences in the world.”, USA Today recently featured the Zagat Survey's 100 Top Hotel Restaurants in America. Based on on food quality, decor, and service, The French Room is #1..... "The French Room is only one of two Zagat rated restaurants worldwide to receive ratings of 29 (of 30) across the board in the last five years." - Tim Zagat, "A Religious Experience....Five Stars for Food, Service, and Ambiance" - Dallas Morning News, "One of World's Top 25 Dining Experiences" - Travel & Leisure Magazine, "Top 11 American Restaurants" - AOL Food
There also is a great cheap burger and dog place. If I remember right it is on the south side, almost to where you dont want to go. It is crazy busy for lunch, a lot of business men go there. I dont remeber the name but I will try to got it for you.
Fearing's at the Ritz, without siad chef Dean Fearing is great. He was a big intervator in Dallas dinning, and has some KY in him. He was at The Mansion on Turtle Creek for many years, until the Ritz finally got him.
I really enjoy Dallas. I wish I was going with you!!

YOu shoule check out Fearing's while you are there.
Dean Fearing has opened his own restaurant in the new Ritz Carlton Hotel on McKinney.
He is a local raised here in Louisville, a talented chef and a very nice gentleman.
Dean was at the Mansion on Turtle Creek for 21 years before venturing out on his own.
I think you will like the operation.
