Red Pepper info?

by Richard S. » Fri Jan 30, 2009 5:50 pm

Anyone know the status of Red Pepper? I called the number on their Web site to see if they would be open tonight and it's disconnected.

I had dinner there last week for the Chinese New Year. Maybe their electricity is down.

The food was amazing, btw.

Red Pepper is our usual Friday dining spot, but it's a bit of a hike from Fern Creek. We took the chance, and it occurred to me that if their phone was out they couldn't take credit cards, so I stopped at the ATM on the way. They were open, but the owner said their phone had been out since Tuesday. They prepared an off-menu dish for me that consisted of boneless duck, plum sauce, steamed pancakes and shredded cucumber. You just made little sandwiches with the ingredients. It was excellent.

I tried calling several times about a month ago and found the phone went to a quick busy. Then later in the day, it went through....

They have always had a curious phone situation. I've tried to call for take out but have finally realized that it is easier to stop by and wait.
