I was watching a show about the Reno Rin Cookoff (and salivating while doing so) and evidently this outfit from E-Town has won it 4 times. I don't recall seeing anything about them here. Does anyone have any insight?

I've taken my son there for his birthday a couple of times--he loves ribs. It is quite good. I'm not sure what makes it a cook-off winner, but it's good.

Well I live in E-town and I'll be honest with you I much prefer Mark's Feed Store or Ole Hickory Pit ribs to Texas Outlaw and I am not thrilled with their sides either. We do try there every couple years but it's still been about the same. I guess everybody has their own taste and mine is just not at Texas Outlaw. I wish it was since I really love BBQ places and it's so close. You should try it for yourself though your taste might be different than mine.

Doogy, are you sure that they are associated with Bootleg? There's no mention of a location in E-Town on the website and their names are obviously different.

My MIL loves this place and goes every chance she gets. I've been once or twice, but was not really moved one way or another. I can't comment on the BBQ, as I haven't willing eaten the stuff since high school--and even then, only reluctantly.

I live in Etown.
It is not a memorable experience.
It was much better when the restaurant was a tiny little place across from the high school on 62.

The ribs are good. The steaks, not so much.
They seem to be out of things everytime we go (I get drug there about once a year for ribs by somebody or other because they've heard how good they are).
