Bruce's Smokehouse?

Saw this write up in the CJ Saturday, it sounds good. Has anybody been? Thought we might try it this weekend.

McMahon Plaza in front of the Kroger on Breckenridge Lane just south of Hikes Lane.

Food is good. Price is fair. I would not go out of my way to get it, though.

I still think we will try it this weekend, if the snow and ice are gone. I really like vinegar coleslaw and they have it. It's really hard to find in L-ville. I'm always up for trying a new BBQ place. I'll post after we go. :D

Bruces BBQ is first rate!, he and a few other fellows started the short lived Fire Fresh Chain, a couple of the joints are still putting along, but it was Bruce's food that started it. Sides are all good and the Bama's are the best, seems to follow the Willinghams system of preparing and serving Ribs.

I really like the vinegar slaw at Firefresh.

Bruce's Smokehouse...Is great casual dining affair. The review is spot on as well as David's comments. Bruce is proud of his product and the quality shows. Great place for a quick lunch...

I got busy and neglected to post it, but I did notice that the CJ's inexplicable ratings system apparently struck again. Marty's review was strongly positive - I can't really recall anything negative in it - yet the restaurant got a mediocre 2 1/2 star rating.
