Sari Sari

I thought about tacking this commentary on the meals under ten, and maybe I should, but I'm gonna go ahead with what I consider to be a much deserved thread of it's own.

I had the best carry out I've ever had from Sari Sari last week. I've been to this restaurant three times and I've never seen them busy, but my food has NEVER been compromised by that fact. The portions are enormous and the prices are low. My chicken coconut curry came to $9.83 before tip and the container weighed about 5 pounds. It was hot and loaded with A LOT of different ingredients, including a load of fresh basil, maybe ten pieces of liquorice root (I think), stewed vegetables, tons of chunks of hot juicy chicken in a deep pool of golden coconut curry sauce. It also came with a huge side of Filipino style red beans and jasmine rice.

I'm not kidding about thinking this may be the best ten dollars I've ever spent on carry out.

Then yesterday I got carry out from DakShin (outta this world good), but I think this forum had a more recent love affair with them :) . I'll just leave that at that.
