osso bucco? Anywhere?

by MichelleS » Sat Jan 24, 2009 2:10 am

My dad may be coming in town to visit and he loves osso bucco. I know it is on Volare's menu, anywhere else?

Have you had it anywhere that it just blew you away?

Corbett's has it on their Dinner Menu and Varanese has been offering it as a special off and on over the past few weeks.

I had outrageously good osso bucco at Club Grotto once. But at the time it was a special- you might want to check to see if they have it on the menu or as a repeating special now.

Not a traditional preparation, but a mouth-watering alternative from Asiatique:
simmered pork shank, caramelized baby carrot+walnut, roasted shallot and espresso+thyme sauce

Anderson,

Knowing Chef Looi's food- I bet that's outstanding!

Rivue's looked good on the menu.

I had it at Volare, and fell in love. It's very different, in a good way, than most osso bucco.

Thanks for taking care of us at the bar last night, Anderson.

Folks, Anderson mixes a good cocktail.

We have been offering Fox Hollow Farms (Oldham Co.) Braised Osso Bucco lately and have been receiving great feedback.
If you let us know a few days in advance that you will be coming in, we would be glad to bring some in for you.

Blu Grille at the downtown Marriott does one. It's the only place I've ever tasted Osso Bucco, so I thought it was good. I don't know if it's the kind of place I would choose to dine, but some people think it's great. Blu resides in a VERY expensive environment, so it's pretty posh and you can linger in the lobby after dinner.

I've never had dinner there, but have had lunch twice, and it was very good. It was pretty $$$ for lunch, though.
