CJ praises Gourmet for Everyone

by Robin Garr » Fri Apr 27, 2007 10:34 am

I don't usually bother to post Marty's Friday free-lance article "In Search of Good Food," but today's special, as he has good words for Gourmet for Everyone, the East End specialty food shop run by forum "regular" Deb Hall. Congrats, Deb! I hope this publicity has people pouring in this weekend.

I should have mentioned that he said nice things about Sheltowee Farms mushrooms, too!

Robin,

Thanks so much for posting this. Needless to say, we were very happy with the very positive write-up. We didn't know when it was going to run, so now we are running around making more Truffle cakes, meatloaf, chicken piccata, etc to meet the demand.

I'm really happy that he talked about our fine food packaged foods too: you know carrying the really great ingredients, special olive oils, and artisan foods is Brian & my passion.

I know we are "way out there" for you, but I hope you get a chance to stop by soon and see how we've expanded. (and that potato gnocchi truly is as good das I said...) :D

Thanks,
Deb

Deb, were you affiliated with Tologono? (I haven't been there in a while so don't even know if it's still open.) I checked out your site and the entrees looked very familiar--and yummy. I'll definitely stop by to check things out!

Paula,

Glad you think the menu sounds yummy. :) It is just an example though as our foods change/rotate and we add new things seasonally. I have a number of things in the case right now (eg. Roasted Garlic and Organic Mushroom risotto, Hot Brown Quiche, Asiago Chicken w/Tomato Basil Fettucine are just a few ) that are not on that menu and some cold weather things (like twice baked potatoes) are off.

Fyi: we are not affliliated with Tologono and we are local, family owned and operated. But we do have their production kitchen make several of our dinners, and we make the others here. So you'll recogize some favorites on both menus...

To all,

Thanks for all the positive comments in both public and private messages. Brian and I really appreciate it (and hope to see you in the store soon!)

One very tired (but happy),
Deb
