Where to dine near The Palace?

by Mark Head » Mon Jan 19, 2009 2:17 pm

Tomorrow night we are going to a concert at The Palace. What's within walking distance that's good and won't take over 60 minutes? I'm not really considering 4SL BTW.

Cafe Kilimanjaro for real close, or a short walk and a little more time allotment to the four star Saffron's. Of course BBC is RIGHT there in Theatre Square, too.

Cafe Kilimanjaro is no more......been closed for the better part of a year.

Cunninghams is right across the street, and there is also the English Grill in the Brown, or the Oakroom at the Seelbach.

Raw is about a block down, as is all of 4th Street Live........
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

Where is Z's Fusion? It might be close.

Dangit! I thought that was the case, but for some reason I doubted myself.

I know you're avoiding 4SL, but for quick, you might consider J Gumbo's.

That stinks about Cafe Kilimanjaro! I haven't been around that way for a while, but last night after having a couple drinks at the Brown Hotel lobby bar (which I recommend, btw, though it is pricey), I noticed the CK sign and remarked that I was happy they were still in business! Oh well. CK started sometime in the early 1990s when I went to high school at St. Francis, just over at 3rd and Broadway, and I have some happy memories of it...

The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Jackie, if my glass of wine isn't moving, your head must be bobbing. :)

Z's sounds intriging....that may be that place. Thanks for all the suggestions. I honestly couldn't come up with much of anything on my own.
