Who Has The Best Fish Tacos IN LOUISVILLE!

by Lisa W » Sun Jan 18, 2009 7:51 pm

I’ve been going to the Seafood Connection for fish tacos which are fantastic! The deep fried capers that are sprinkled on the top add a wonderful saltiness and texture. They have a great spicy aioli that is not served with the tacos but I ask for it on the side.

Where do you guys go in Louisville for your favorite fish tacos?

El Mundo.
They serve succulent grilled cod (which is so sweet and delicious) and it is complimented with a smoked chipotle aioli.
DE-LIC-IOUS!

Seviche!

It isn't even a competition. I have to have them at least once a month. Perfection!

I actually liked Bazo's better than El Mundo. The Ones at Ramsi's were also good. The beans accompanying them at Ramsi's are awesome, too!

I'm with Linda. I've had the fish tacos at both Bazos and El Mundo and Bazo's are better. I've also had them at Loz Actecas, and they're pretty good also. Not fabulous, but I order them most of the times I'm there. Haven't had fish tacos at Seviche, though. Hmmm . . . .

The last fish tacos I had at El Mundo were fine...a bit dry. Seviche...they were fine too....but I can't eat fish tacos at Seviche with so many other fabulous things to try. We are going to Bazo this week.

Cheescake Factory has some awesome fish tacos.

I'm confused- did Bazo's move from Wallace to Dutchman's Lane? All the listings for it on-line show it on Wallace Ave. Or is the Dutchman's location a second location?

Thanks,
Deb

I had the Baja Fish Tacos from Bazo's yesterday and was quite pleased! That is a lot of food stuffed into one taco. I was STARVING by the time I got my two taco meal (with black beans, rice, and small chips), but halfway through the meal, I was already losing steam. That is a great deal for $5.99. I think one taco could easily be a meal, especially with a cup of tortilla soup on the side.

I have to say, the Dupont location is pretty tricky to find if you're not a regular in the area. However, I'm sure they do a booming business there with the hospitals all around. Here's how you find it. Pull into the Village 8 complex parking lot, and if you're facing Village 8, there is an entrance to the left. It says Bazo's on the glass, but there is no sign on the awning. Once you go inside, you go down a little corridor and Bazo's is at the other end on the left. The inside of the building reminded me of the inside of the complex at Douglass Loop where Tuesday Morning is located. Similar type of set-up.

It moved a few months ago. It's, um, the top feature in this week's LEO/LHB review. Check the HotBytes front page.
