We got dosas!!

DH and I enjoyed the buffet at DakShin today and yes!! we got dosas! Didn't have to ask. A nice gentleman just brought them out and sat them down on our table! yum.

I have no idea what was different for this visit, other than it was Sunday.

I FINALLY ate at DakShin on Tue night. Although I couldsee my breath it was so cold the food was absolutely delicious. And oh so spicy! We had 5 apps and three entees to share and were not disappointed in anything.
The owner came by a few times and told me they were redesigning the menu into regions so that you know where your dish hails from.
I also dropped by their market a couple doors down the mall- so much produce that I've never seen before, I can't wait to go again.

I need to know all about this DakShin and the market. PLEASE give me the details.

Hmm. We get served the dosa pretty much every time. I assumed it was a regular part of the buffet, although we always go on Saturdays. I have noticed, though, they don't always bring the yogurt drink.
My wife, who is not at all adventurous when it comes to food, has really come to love this place, as have I. I just about had to drag her there the first time, but now she wants to go every week. Part of the appeal is the pleasure the owner seems to take in seeing us come in.

Richard, it's been sort of a running joke on here that I'm the only one not getting a dosa during buffet service. Never got one before at DakShin and didn't get one at Bombat Grill. My online friends had started analyzing my "vibe" . . .

Now, ARGGH!! there's samples of a yogurt drink to be had also? sheesh!

I need to know all about this DakShin and the market. PLEASE give me the details.

I can only speak for DakShin, as that is my fave, but once they get to know you they are so wonderfully welcoming, it really does feel like home. The grocery two doors down is staffed with equally helpful people, and I believe has the same owner. I'd like to think I'm special, but I see how friendly and engaging they are with everyone, it's such a treat to go there. I always leave full of such good food and wishing I had a ticket to India so I could experience this culture first hand. Someday...
