Kentucky currently operates (technically - on the books) under the 1976 FDA Model Food Code. We've participated in meetings and committees with the health department for several years, offering industry perspective. The health department filed to operate under the 2005 Food Code, with some modifications, and we submitted comments. Anyone who is interested can contact me - I have a copy of what was filed. The biggest changes have to do with mobile units, bare hand contact, the inspection form and food manager certification programs. This is just one of the fun ways I spend my time, lol.
