We were over in New Albany to night and needed to eat quick as we had a 6:30 appointment. Going down Charlestown Rd. across from Northside Christian Church we spied a new Thai place called TanThai in a strip center. It's sort of quick service Thai food. They opened in mid-November and appeared to be doing a fairly brisk (no pun) business on a really cold evening. There were 12 assorted entrees...interestingly no appetizers, etc. My son had the green curry, my wife a chicken something, and I went for my fall back pad thai. The food was really fine and tasty and the portions were appropriate. They didn't ask about spiciness and every thing was mild to medium but I'm sure they would adjust seasoning if you so desired. A dried chili mixture also was served in a small plastic cup on the side with each meal and provided a bit extra heat.
We ordered and the food was on the table in about 5 minutes....we were out the door in just under 30 minutes. Not a place for a leisurely meal but if you are in the area and want quick-service thai, this is a pretty nifty little place. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
