caramel sea salt gelato

At Proof.

Go. Get. Some. NOW.

Fabulous.

Also the roasted beet salad with goat cheese and greens in a smoked tomato vinagrette. Most Excellent.

I regret the risotto, only because I make a fine risotto at home and should have chosen something more challenging. The Malbec on the quartino menu - perfect.

But the gelato, oh my. Worth every calorie.

And Wicked was "wicked good."

They don't have it on the menu as a regular item, so you might want to check first.

And on this morning after my first dinner at Proof, I am still regretting my menu selections. Totally my own fault, and I didn't go with my first instincts. It's sooo far outside our normal eating out budget that I know it will be a long, long time before I get there again, which is making the regret more intense. Gotta let it go . . .

But the gelato was absolutely a wonderful choice! The sweetness of caramel and the bite of the salt is such a classic flavor profile.

Leah,
Thanks for the warning.

It sounds divine. We are heading downtown for an event this evening and may just need to stop by and see if they still have some for dessert.
