Nice mention in this article about bacon for dessert for the Brown. And then there is the link at the bottom for 5 bacon dessert receipes. Yum.

I have had the bacon baklava at the Brown Hotel and it was amazing....sublime...just the absolute bomb! I don't think I can ever eat regular baklava again. It was served as dessert for an event at the Brown called Camp Bacon, sponsored by Southern Foodways Alliance. It was one of their field trips. A great evening that highlighted all the small bacon purveyors in Kentucky. Local chefs each prepared a course with bacon and John T. Edge emceed the evening by featuring interviews with the purveyors. What a night for a pork princess! Southern Foodways does terrific programs.

I believe Gourmet ran the recipe in the last year or so. I think if you google, you'll be able to find it. So, so good!

Okay, for my birthday this year a friend hosted an "Iron Chef" dinner, 8 friends, 8 courses, main ingredient - bacon. My sweet husband made candied bacon ice cream with maple/bacon cupcakes for dessert. It was a hit - and came in second to the fish dish. The ice cream was fantastic, sweet salty chewy bacon bits in a custard base. Yummy.
