Mysterious No-Name Place

by Laura T » Mon Jan 12, 2009 11:47 am

I've been driving around Frankfort Ave. and Brownsboro Rd. more than usual lately, and I keep noticing this mysterious new place that has opened up on Frankfort Avenue. I can't name the cross-street, but it's near Maido, in what I am pretty sure used to be Cafe Lou Lou, but has since been a couple of different things. There are neon beer signs in the window, a big bright neon "OPEN" sign, but the trim around the doorway and windows is all just painted black and as far as I can tell, there is no indication of the name of the place anywhere. I'm just curious as to what this place is. Does anyone know?

Oh that's the KY BBQ Company, it used to be in the building that now has Red Pepper on Brownsboro. When they were in the old location (then named Bourbon Bros. BBQ) I used to go in there all the time.

Looking forward to stopping there in nicer weather and getting food to go. We are usually hungry when we are heading to the Tap Room. We've not ordered any delivery but might try that sometime. We have gotten Moby Dicks (seem to crave it on Fridays and neither of us is Catholic:-) to take into the Tap Room. Also, it's going to be different this spring when baseball begins and no Brownings.
