Furlongs of Louisville Says Thanks!! Check us OUT!!

by Aaron Wood » Sun Jan 11, 2009 9:02 pm

Hello, My name is Aaron Wood and I am an asst. manager here @ Furlongs of Louisville. Just wanted first to thank everyone for their support of our establishment along with all the wonderful words of encouragement from our neighbors and friends.
We will be open for lunch starting Monday January 12, opening @ 11am.. This will be a condensed menu of our dinner menu but still including all the wonderful flavors.
Brunch will begin on the following Sunday January 18, opening @ 10 am. This will be a menu brunch with an Acadian twist to many standard brunch specialties everyone is sure to LOVE!!!
Also for those of you not wanting sit in the "insanely busy" and fun atmosphere of our War Admiral Bar, Derby or Triple Crown rooms , we have two private dining rooms that are sure to accommodate those wanting the more intimate dining experience. These are the Keeneland and Churchill Rooms. The Keeneland room decked out with the lovely landscapes of the beautiful Keeneland Race Course in Lexington will sure enjoy this wood lined room with a quiet atmosphere (can accommodate up to 40). The Churchill room being like its sister is more grand yet still just as private for your group or business meeting. This room is Audio/Visual capable and has some excellent photography from the Churchill archives.

Daily we have Happy Hour from 3 to 7 in the War Admiral Bar, and on Friday and Saturdays we invite you to start your evening out with us for our late night happy hour from 9 to close once again in the War Admiral Bar.
We also have daily Early Bird specials from 4 to 6 that are priced @ $9.99.

On Mondays and Tuesdays we have Half Price Bottle Wine.

On Thursdays we have All You Can EAT BBQ Shrimp and Fried Catfish.

Please call for any other questions or feel free to post here as I will be checking back frequently on this site.

Laissez les bon temps rouler!!

Thanks again and come see us soon!!!

Aaron,
We'd like to hear the other side of the story about the problems with the partnership and Tommy Walters leaving the restaurant and filing a lawsuit. We've heard his side here in this forum and would like to hear the other side. It's a shame things can't be worked out so the originator of the concept can still be associated with his restaurant.

Mark, as I am sure you can understand there are things than can and cant be discussed in an open forum in situations like this. Just know that the FOOD is GREAT and the DRINKS are GOOD. As time moves on the truth will be told I'm sure, but i will not be the one carrying the message. I am here to represent Furlongs and our staff in order to learn and grow in the Louisville dining market. But trust me the truth will be told soon enough!!
The young man doing our cooking Johnny Thomason has been with the company in the role as head chef @ the lexington location for the previous year and is now serving up his wonderful dishes as executive chef in Louisville. Nothing but the best of Acadian cooking is coming from our kitchen!!
