CJ seems to love Cafe Lou Lou Highlands

The standard three-star rating, although it's hard to tell where they fell short. I couldn't find a single negative word - and forumite Marsha gets a mention by name!

We were thrilled and are armed to the teeth with backups of backups for the crowd that always results from a review weekend. Let the games begin!

I hope you get a crowd, Marsha! That said, given the way the CJ is crashing, I'll be curious to hear whether enough people see the review to make much of a difference. Let us know ... and for you guys, I'll be glad if it does.

(For what it's worth, the folks at the Winter Bardstown Road Farmers' Market this morning had a nice crowd, but the people I asked said the recent favorable publicity in the CJ didn't seem to be having much impact. The crowd appeared to be mostly "regulars."

We loaded up on $110 worth of beef, lamb and chicken. Holy moly! It's way easy to spend a lot of money at that place! (On the other hand, it's humane, natural and local meat, and Mary and I figure we can get probably a dozen meals out of it, so that works out to a fair per-meal cost.)

We were in Lou Lou's St Matt. today for lunch and it was jammed!!! Would love to think it was from the review but they said that was very busy yesterday and last night. Lou Lou's offers great food at a great price. It just works!! Count us as loving both Lou Lou's!!!

p.s. Marsha's desserts are "to die for"!!!! Try the Banana's Foster Bread Pudding--it is fabulous, as are all her sweet things!!!

I was at the Highlands location Friday night with a group. Even though they were slammed, the food and service were great. I saw the review today and also wondered at the 3 stars.

I ordered a calzone (cheese and sun dried tomatoes) and had enough for dinner last night and lunch today. I'm so glad they decided to open another location in my neighborhood. :D

eta: I didn't have room for dessert because we split appetizers, but next time!
