New Year's Resolutions

by Will Crawford » Wed Dec 31, 2008 3:29 pm

What is on you list of resolutions?

I am going to resolve to be as positive as possible in the next year. As my hero Willie Nelson's says-

“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results.”

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.”

“I take it not only a day at a time, but a moment at a time, and keep it at that pace. If you can be happy right now, then you’ll always be happy, because it’s always in the now.”

Once again, I'm going to give up the nasty smoking habit...

I think the third time is the charm...

Last year, I made it 2 months...

And the year before, I made it a whole 6 months....

It would be easier if I didn't enjoy it so much!!!!

I know I smell like an ashtray and the obvious health hazards are looming out there as well ...

But hey, in this economy...I just want to save a few bucks a week!

Back in the day, I smoked a carton every 3 days. If I can quit that, so can you. Good luck.

No special resolutions at this point ... when you actually get up early on New Year's Day, you figure you must already be living right. ;)

But an enthusiastic "Happy New Year" to all the forum gang! Glad you're here, and look forward to talking food and drink with you in 2009.

My big goal is to actually learn to use that dusty sewing machine that's sitting in my basement. I gave up on the weight loss goals many years ago.

I'm going to be more aware of my families carbon footprint. Teaching my kids the little things they can do on a daily basis that will really add up over a years time. Also, try to buy 1 Christmas gift for each of our kids each month, then come next Dec. They will each have 12 gifts!!! WOW That would be great!
