Yeah they didnt pay for it, it was paid for on a card when the order was placed.
I'm going to try and shorten this story as much as I can.
I work in an office building. My group decided to all pitch in on pizza for Xmas Eve as we were slow. The gentlemen who put the order on his card has a last name that is one letter off from a supervisor elsewhere in the same building. Said supervisor's team was having a potluck for Xmas Eve as well. We ordered and were told 45 minutes, the person ordering gave the person on the phone his direct extension line for the delivery person to call when arriving at the building. After 90 minutes we call to check on the pizza and are told it's out for delivery. 20 minutes following that we call again to be told it's been delivered, but we dont have it. The establishment agrees to resend the order.
What we have been able to gather through asking around the building...
The driver showed up with the pizza and walked into the break room on the main floor. The driver just starts asking around for the name on the order. An employee from the team who's supervisor had the similar name said "Oh you must mean 'x'" and signed for the pizza, took it and threw it in with the potluck stuff.
Beatings were nearly issued across that floor of the building.
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.
I am kind of a big deal.
