I was coming through downtown this morning and driving by the Clay Building on 3rd and Chestnut I noticed the deli next to Road to Morocco was empty (it's huge!) and thought it would be a prime spot for something like your style of fare. I think the heart of downtown is still very viable territory.

Check out the old Cherry House location in LaGrange. It's huge and I often thought it would make a fantastic destination dining place with a little creativity. Make it into another Claudia Sanders or ...dare I say... better.

Maybe check out something on Dixie so there is something that's not a chain out that way.

I am kind of a big deal.

Hey Tommy - There is a nice spot open at the corner of Bardstown Rd and Speed Ave in the Highlands. Used to be Judge Roy Bean's and most recently was Big Dave's Outpost. Also - not sure what is going on with it, but the old Diamante building on Bardstown Rd had some renovations being done but looks to have petered out - might be up for grabs again. Good Luck --RT

The building on Goose Creek may be a nice building but I really wonder about the location. The last two restaurants there had excellent reputations but that site gets very little drive by visibility unlike many others. People have to be out looking for it to find it, they don't just come upon it. I think there are many other much better locations around town, including the location now occupied by the disputed Furlongs. With today's difficult market a new restaurant needs every advantage it can get to ensure success.

where is Goose Creek

Goose Creek Road runs between Westport Rd and Brownsboro Rd, just west of Hurstbourne Pkwy. The empty spot is next to Wicks Pizza and Goose Creek Diner (which have been there for many years), also close by is El Nopol. The original restaurant was Hungry Pelican and it was there for more than twenty years.
Fast Food Cajun and BBQ as well as Casual Dining

I think this location would be a great spot for a BBQ or Cajun place.

On Hurstbourne, the location formerly known as Lone Star Steakhouse right by the BBT bank, the parking isnt the greatest, but its not but two lights away from where you were previously settled.
