I'm sorry if that came off offensive but sometimes somebody needs to step up and tell it like it is. There is nothing wrong with other subjects, cats included, but they have their place on the blogs. If Robin wants to set up a completely different forum titled "potpourri" then I have no objections because I would never visit it. But this forum has a good solid following and has many informed people speaking on an interesting focused topic--why water it down. That is all I am saying.

JIm, as Marsha said, this would be a separate, off-topic forum within our body of forums. Check out the Wine Forums mentioned in my initial response to see how it works.

What gave you the idea that this online forum or the site it's on is a "blog," by the way? It's not. We were doing this long before blogs were invented, and it's really something quite different. The only possible resemblance is that the main site is now operated on a content-management system, WordPress, that is sometimes used for blogs, Just sayin' ...

Ooops. I guess my non-techie savvy has been reveiled (blog vs forum)! .......Anyway, a wine forum is related to food, n'est-ce pas? But when all is said and done why not do another blog ...eh, I mean forum (ha, ha!). I guess I am just a little protective of this wonderful forum that you (Robin) created here at louisvillehotbytes...Nuf said.

I really loved the movie and was glad that Dan got the girl, f'rinstance. I like the new forum idea.

Well, I like Marsha's idea. I dont see how it could hurt to try it out. As to the idea that it may "water" down the food content...I think not. If anything I think this would help keep the the rest of the forum on topic. Just my 2 cents.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

As Robin mentioned, it seems to work OK over on the "wine place". However, I think there should be a rule against "Word Association Game" threads.

Okay, it's set up! Tell me if you can see the new forum (at the bottom of the "Louisville Forums") and if you can post in it.

I see it. Marsha, Deb, Leah, you have to get out of "Louisville Forums" and go the the Board index.

What the others said. Go to the forum home page,
http://www.wineloverspage.com/forum/hotbytes
and then look down under the block of Louisville Forums.
