Five Guys Burgers and Fries!

by DeeDee D » Sun Dec 14, 2008 12:23 am

We had our first trip FGBF today!! It's located on State St. in New Albany next to Target. It was excellent! The place was really crowed, took a bit to find a table. But WELL worth the 15min wait until they called our ticket number. We both ordered the cheeseburgers and small fries (one plain fry and one cajun fry) Unbeknown to us, the "regular" burger is actually a double burger and the "small" burger is the single. One order of small fries will feed two no problem. The burgers are all hand made and cooked well done, but surprisingly VERY juicy! They offer 15 free topping for the burgers, basic standards but do have sauteed mushrooms and grilled onions which I thought was nice touch. The dinning room is bare bones and very casual, but the atmosphere was nice. They have big open containers of in shell peanuts that you can much on while you wait. So, two excellent double cheese burgers, two small fries and two cokes (plus a bag full fries to take home) the damage was $20.11. Next visit will will order small burgers, one small fry and cokes and it would be around 11.00 or 12.00.

We highly recommend you checking this place out!!

I did a Meet & Greet with the Greyhounds next door at SuperPetz and thought about checking out the new Five Guys, but it was still packed at 2 PM when I left. Maybe next time. Glad to hear a good review.

BTW, they are building a Chik-Fil-A store in the front of this store and SuperPetz. Parking is going to be a bear when both places are open.

It looks like they are working on another 5 Guys on Charlestown Road in the strip mall in front of Meijer. We were getting family pictures taken in the same building and I saw the coming soon sign on the building.

Hey Todd! We seen that sign too, but didn't think they would open another new store to the area so close to each other! But we are not complaining....we could so do take out to the burg from that location!
