My reservation has been made. I love this kind of food (Cajun/Creole) and have had the opportunity to sample all those bourbons. Thank you Maker's Mark Lounge for all those bourbon tastings. I just got off the phone with Chris and this sounds like it's going to be an off the hook event. Wow, I am really excited about this. On a side note, Chris told me they are gonna hold a monthly event of this sort. Beer, wine, bourbon, etc. He said they tentatively have BBC on tap for next month. Do not pardon the pun, LOL. I hope to see some fellow forumites for this bourbon dinner.

I am heartbroken that I am going to be out of town for this. What a wonderful Christmassy event to go to. If you haven't stopped by the restaurant I would recommend doing if only to see the vast improvement in the property. Warm cozy fireplace, big picture windows to look out very nice. What a nice Holiday gift to give yourself!
Doogy please give us a full report after you eat gator and drink bourbon. (I am so jealous.)

Carla, I promise to write something about this event. If Chris allows it, I will even take pix. Everyone here knows I love to post pix. Chris mentioned this event would be held in the room with the fireplace. I have had to severely cut back on my dining out as of late, but this was something I could NOT pass up.

I really wish I could make this. Booker's is one of my 3 favorite bourbons, and the chance to meet a member of the Noe/Beam family would be fantastic. The price is really good too - $50 for four courses and four bourbons! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be in town.

Chris called me yesterday and said this has sold out. Is anyone else from the forum going to be there? If so, please introduce yourself to me. I love meeting new people from this forum. It's a great way to put a face to a name.

Oh John you know I wish! Nope, going to Carmel to see my brother and 2 new babies of my nieces that I haven't seen yet. Sarah will have to wait until the spring. Shall I tell her you said "Hello" ?
What about you? Skiing someplace fun?

So, of all the foodies on this board, none are attending this event? I am really amazed. This is the best 50 dollar event in town this year. A 4 course meal with a Small Batch bourbon accompaniment with each course.

I'd love to go to this, as it sounds like a great meal at a huge value. However, it's three days til Christmas! I don't think I know of anyone who doesn't still have a million loose ends to tie up. Maybe there will be another someday that more people will be able to make it out for.

Stacy, sorry we seemed to have missed each other. The bourbon dinner was off the charts good. I took a lot of pix and notes and will post about it sometime tomorrow. For those of you who didn't or couldn't make this, Chris said they are planning monthly events of this sort. See y'all at the next one.
