Is this 100% true? As Leah said, the link isn't working.

A client wanting to keep it just as it is?

I'd be sad to see the Pink Door go. I heard the owners plan to open a club downtown.

Brad,
That I don't know. I agree it would be a real shame to see it go.

I've always liked the Pink Door, too, but my biggest complaint is how crowded the front area is for dancing, especially when they have full bands. I'm glad to hear that they're going to stay in the area. Hopefully they get a place with some more boogey room :) .

I liked it too, but the last time I was there the service was laughably bad. It was if serving food was a complete afterthought and they were moving tables and band equipment while people were eating (and this was early). At the end we couldn't find our server....seems he checked out and forgot us! No kidding.

The place is laughable as a restaurant in it's current configuration....

The die-hard EmO crowd will have to move back Downtown once this place shutters

Damn (excuse the language), but I think that's a little harsh. I definitely don't consider myself to be "die-hard EmO," (or "EMO" at all for that matter) but have enjoyed many nights out at the Pink Door, with friends who are also not "die-hard EmO." I've seen good bands there (thanks for the solid shows, Lucky Pineapple), enjoyed their way-under-market-priced drinks, and had a good noodle bowl or two. Unlike Baxter Avenue, the Pink Door has become sort of a neighborhood bar to those that live in the area, and it will be sad IF it goes. Yes, it can get a little crowded and too dancy for my tastes late-night, but who cares. And you say it's "laughable as a restaurant," but I don't think their primary purpose is as a restaurant.

Any news on this?

I am one of the people in the neighborhood that couldn't stand the night club portion as it is very difficult to sleep at 3am with incredibly loud bass..... I hate to say how many times people in the neighborhood have had to waste the police's time on this.

Dundee Tavern has been a long time neighbor and no one has had any issues with them and noise!

Anyways, I am all for small businesses and hope they succeed in a night club district. But they could never figure out that a residential area is not the place for them.

Pink Door Express if it truly is a restaurant will be anxiously awaited! The pink door website and twitter are a little confusing on this topic.

I've looked at the menu when I've been walking by. It looks like typical, but limited, fast food Chinese offerings. I haven't tried it though.

I got carry out last week. Nearly identical and streamlined lunch and dinner menus, but they don't have noodle bowls on the dinner menu. I asked about that and was told that they still offer them at dinner, so that's what I chose along with some spring rolls. No alcohol, but a variety of teas and juices. I don't know what I thought about the food, but the service was extremely friendly.
