Oceanside - what a deal!

by NDDuncan » Mon Nov 10, 2008 9:47 pm

Last Saturday my husband and I decided to go for a bite after dropping our daughter off at a mixer. We didn't have a lot of time, so we decided to stay in our area (Brown's Lane near Hike's Point). Not a lot to choose from, unless you want to hit the chains in Dupont or on Hurstbourne Lane. We decided we should go back to Oceanside on Klondike Lane for paella.
Talk about a deal! For only $14.99 you get enough really good paella for 2 people - add a house salad and you're set! They also have fish sandwiches, Morrocan Fish (excellent!), plus other Morrocan dishes, all at great prices. Nothing fancy, but the owner (Touria) and her brother are great. They've gotten great reviews in the Courier.

*They ask that you call ahead about 30 minutes if you want paella . Tell them "Nancy" sent you!

I noticed that place when I was at Al Watan a couple of weeks ago and was wondering how it was. Thanks for the report. Here is a link to their website and menu for anyone wondering about the restaurant.

OMG ! I checked out their menu, did you notice the price for chicken wings? What a deal! And it says "whole wings" not just half. Makes them cheaper than Indie's.

I've enjoyed their food and the prices were very reasonable ... thanks for the reminder!
