Tuesday Tastings - Tea 101

by Matthew Landan » Mon Nov 10, 2008 1:31 pm

DCE is proud to announce a Tuesday night series of tasting events.
We will be doing Tea Tastings on the second Tuesday of each month.
Beer tastings on the third Tuesday of each month and
Coffee cuppings on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Tomorrow night we are kicking off with an 'introduction to tea"

We will be discussing and tasting the difference between the varietals of tea and tea alternatives.
We will be trying: white, green, oolong, and black tea alongside several commmon tea alternatives including yerba mate, rooibos & a floral botanical.

Consider this TEA 101.
The evening will included snacks to go along with the teas.
The $10 prices is all inclusive.
So if you like tea, or would like to know more about tea, join us at Derby City Espresso at 7pm for out Tuesday Night Tea Tasting.

pretty good for the first time out.
we had 8 in the class which is a great size.
We tried the following:

peach white tea
jasmine green tea
jade oolong tea
single estate ceylon black tea
scarlet botanical blend
passionfruit rooibos (red tea)
yerba mate

Next week we're doing beer 101
