Free coffee today and free beer tonight!

by Matthew Landan » Tue Nov 04, 2008 1:03 pm

DCe is giving away free coffee to everyone today till 6pm when the polls close.
We'll be giving out free beer (I'm buying the house a round) when Obama is declared the President-Elect.
I expect that to be between 11 and midnight
so come on down and join in the celebration!

Free beer sounds great. But maybe it should be IF Obama wins.

Way past my bedtime, but I sure hope you have to give away a lot of beer.

I can't help that I'm confident.
We got the ground game. We had the air game. We got the organization and the executive leadership.
If Obama runs the country as well as he ran his campaign then it's problem solving time.

Yeah, but I'm all Democrat on the down ticket. Just not at the top. :)

I have virtually no party loyalty, and ave been a registered member of three at different times.

What a way to foster that bi-partisan spirit!

I have friends of both party affiliations, living in your little happy area, and frankly, I'm kind of tired of the generalization that anyone living outside that happy little area is of lesser importance, or lower intellect. This isn't first mention that has been made, in disdain, might I add, for anyone living outside the Watterson.

I thought Obama represented the idea that everyone was of equal importance, not just a few "elitists" who think they are better than everyone else. Was I wrong?

I disagree with many things that both candidates say, and stand for, but I still respect people's opinions, and right to vote, even if I disagree. Frankly, I'm tired of the rhetoric coming from folks of both affiliations. Republicans aren't all ignorant racists, and Democrats aren't all politically correct, bleeding heart, "tree huggers." I guess it would be too much to ask for us to all get along.

It'll be interesting to see what happens, and if the race ends in a close call, or a landslide. Either way, lawsuits will be filed, and this crap could drag on for another month or so. Joy.

It was a JOKE, Michelle! I'm sorry if it offended you. It's just kind of a running laugh among the Crescent Hill/Clifton/Highlands crowd that we're a deep blue puddle surrounded by a pool of red ... and I do think that the election returns maps tonight will bear that out.

But honest, I was just kidding! Heck, I review restaurants outside the Watterson all the time. :)

Oh, Michelle, don't do that! Remember, the ass is the symbol of the Democrats :D

Seriously, no need ... we all need to remember that funny, snide or snarky remarks don't always go over well in this medium, and with all my years on forums, I ought to know it better than anyone. :)
