We just got back from voting in the Highlands. There were between 75-100 people waiting in line to scan their ballots at 6:15 A.M. !

Whoa! We're going to wait until 9 a.m. in hope of missing the before-work crowd. Will wander up to Heine's for coffee and then stroll two blocks east to Crescent Hill Baptist to vote ...

I voted, long lines and a particularly slow precinct worker who always seems to be working my line, and then I went to Starbucks for my free cup of coffee.

Cheers!

Was at the Middletown Fire Hall at 6:00, 7th in line, and took me about 15 minutes, once the workers figured out what they were doing. Not bad at all, yet.

Most of the folks I work with voted early. I'll either go at lunch, or leave work a few minutes early, and go after work.

Robin and I have the same plan. I've got appointments this afternoon and one at 11am, so I'm going to try for 9ish and see what happens.

In an effort to avoid the crowds I'm going to wait for a bit before hitting the polls...My goal is to arrive after the WalMart Moms have gone to work but before the Soccer mom's have had a chance to load up the mini vans. On second thought maybe I'll try and time it after the Soccer Moms head off to practice but before the Joe Six-Packs get off work at the plant. Hmmmm...maybe another cup of coffee while I think about this.

I'm looking forward to an orderly election that will eliminate the need for a violent bloodbath!

Worked GREAT for us! We got in at 9:10 and had NO LINE! They said over 250 had already voted in our precinct, and about the same at the other one that votes at Crescent Hill Baptist, and there were long lines earlier, but right at the start of business the place emptied out.

Advice: Try not to vote at lunch time! And DO NOT WAIT until after work!!!

But mid-morning or mid-afternoon should be just fine.

We just got back also. No line at all. We were numbers 171 and 172. I think our precinct is pretty small, though.
