Book fair and Sergio day trip idea

by Ellen P » Mon Nov 03, 2008 1:51 pm

I haven't been to the annual Ky Book Fair in a few years. Patrick Hughes, Rick Pitino, Roger Mudd (went to UofL) plus more than 200 mostly Ky authors will be in Frankfort, Sat. 15th. Schedules vary. So look ahead. http://www.kybookfair.org/
Since we'll be headed to Frankfort, maybe taking the scenic route on the way back, thought we would bundle a stop at Sergio's afterwards. Thought that might be of interest to others for a nice day trip.

Not sure if we could make the bookfair, but a visit to Sergios is not out of the question.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Mary and I loved Sergio's, and we enjoyed getting to know the Hagans. I doubt that we'd do the Book Fair, but we'd be delighted to wander back down to Shelbyville for another gathering if one happens. :) Right now the 15th is clear for us.
