Jucy's

by DeeDee D » Mon Oct 27, 2008 1:51 pm

Husband was wanting some BBQ Saturday night, so we made the trip from Sellersburg out to Jucy's. It was great! He had the brisket and I had the ribs. Everything was excellent! The kids had the pulled pork and mac n cheese. But I have to say, the best part of the meal was the cherry crisp! Not being a big fan of desserts, I wasn't expecting much. Jon wanted the apple, so I thought I'd give the cherry a try. We got them to go and ate them at home later that night after putting the kids to bed! I can not remember ever having a cherry crisp before, but this little, warm, cup of cherry goo was 15mins of heaven! If you have not tried this wonderful stuff, it's a must!! Thanks to everyone at Jucy's for some great BBQ and Crisp!

OK, did I miss something........has Jucy's been cloned in Sellerburg from Pee Wee Valley, or did somebody "usurp" the name?
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

.....made the trip FROM Sellersburg out to Jucy's.

I am sure some people wish it were cloned though.

Their beef briskit is wonderful and I like the cherry crisp as well. We don't eat enough beef or pork that we do BBQ often; however, when we do it's more often than not Jucy's.

Based on past comments Jucy's was one of the first places we tried once we got all settled in. Not bad BBQ...not bad at all. The fact that it's an "old school" BBQ establishment made it that much more enjoyable. The brisket was great, very tender and not overly smoked (which is easy to do). The pork had great flavor but was a bit soft and overdone...but that should be expected when you show up just before closing like we did. All this talk about the Cherry Crisp makes me think we'll have to stop by again soon because we missed it on the first go-round. Yep...pretty good 'Que.

Jucy's is still my favorite for ribs, but I'm a bigger fan of the brisket at Ken-Tex. Both are wonderful!
