I'm sorry, Deb ... I thought I checked the list very carefully but obviously I missed that. I'll edit the list.

Mary and I will go over for an early dinner and meet with the management then. I hope they'll find a way to fit us all in!

I should be under the "Confirm" section ( I did post "yes" later), but understand that i didn't make the first 24 cut-off. I already got a babysitter- now I just need a seat... :D

Thanks,

YAY! They'll fit in 30!

by Robin Garr » Tue Nov 04, 2008 8:58 pm

Rather than the private room, they'll set us up with three big round tables for 10 in the main dining room.

$30 a head for a no-holds-barred Sichuan banquet (including lobsters) by the chef.

(FYI, that will include water and tea but not, obviously, alcoholic beverages. Tipping will also be extra, and I assume everyone will do the right thing by the servers. :)

Please note that they are now cooking for 30 based on your reservations, so please make every effort to be there; if anyone must back out, I hope it will be for significant reasons. And please let us know as early as possible so we can try to fill the gaps from the "maybes" rather than your host, possibly, having to pay for unused meals.

This has the potential to be one of the most memorable Chinese regional banquets ever in Louisville. See everyone Friday at 7 p.m. at Red Pepper (or feel free to show up 15 to 30 minutes early to drink and socialize.

Robin,

That's great news! Given the arrangements that they are making, would you like everyone you have on your list to re-confirm that they will be attending?

Accept this as my confirmation that I will be there Friday night. :)

I'm sorry I will have to rescind my "maybe" as work calls. I know you all will have a wonderful evening and I'm sorry that money trumps pleasure ... the plight of the self-employed. Have a great evening!!

Anne and I are reconfirming we will be there on Friday. I also expect to be made fun of for my inability to use chopsticks.

If any slots open up, I'd love to attend. My previous plans fell through, and I LOVE Red Pepper.

As it turns out, money is a little tight for me and Neil this week. We certainly wouldn't want there to be any unused spots, so if there's no one to take our place, we will be there. But if anyone - Amy? - would like to take our places, let me know!
