Help! Need some last minute catering suggestions!

by DiannaKennedy » Mon Oct 06, 2008 5:51 pm

Hey all! I have not frequented this board for a while ... since we have twin baby boys at home! We are having the boys baptized on Saturday, as well as validating our marriage in the Catholic Church. We are having a small, casual reception afterward .... and I NEED FOOD!! I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but want things to be nice. We will be having about 25 people or so. I had a caterer lined up ... but they told my husband (after 4 days of phone tag), that they didn't have the staff to deliver.

Any ideas????

I can recommend Sherry Hurley (Farm to Fork) for an event. She just started a few months ago - I used her for a buffet type event back in the late Spring - but she uses lots of local fresh produce and the food was DELICIOUS. I don't have her phone # handy, but her email is farmtoforkfood@gmail.com

I suggest Chef Ellen McCarty of Science Hill in Shelbyville! She is a dear friend and a great chef!

Have you tried Lady Fingers? They have a lot of part time staff they can normally call on and they offer a huge variety of foods. They can provide something very simple to something very elegant and usually provide service at very short notice due to their size.

I concur with the Lady Fingers suggestion

If things don't work out, send me a PM I might be willing to do it.

Try Nord's Brown Bag. They catered our wedding. The food was excellent, presentation gorgeous, and very reasonably priced.
