Another excellent choice among several that have been mentioned. What a great restaurant town!

I'd second Varanese for the reasons mentioned. Upscale food and atmosphere, at a reasonable price. Not too loud and great in good weather (like we are having) with restaurant open to the outside, It'd really impress "foreigners".
