I've just returned from the fourth Latino dinner at Seviche - Goose Creek. The meal was wonderful as usual, but the second course featuring "Casado Con Pollo" (Lemon-Oregano Rubbed Organic Chicken with Rice) was a culinary coup d’etat. It was easily the best chicken I have ever eaten. I was not alone in coming to this conclusion. The participants were abuzz with ecstasy and rave reactions. I think that Anthony is seriously considering adding it to his menu. Should he, you need to hie thee to Seviche to partake. The fragrance was over whelming, the chicken moist beyond belief. I don't think I will ever want to eat any other chicken entree preparation. Since we Louisvillians are still recovering from Ryder Cup mania, let me say this was a definite culinary hole-in-one, ranking with Saffron’s rack of lamb, Marsha’s cakes and Andrea’s cookies.
Heads up, the next Latino dinner will be October 22, featuring the cuisine of Columbia.
