Germantown Cafe location for sale

by Jesse Hendrix-Inman » Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:14 am

Just noticed that the building housing the former Germantown Cafe has a for sale sign in the window. I hope something good goes in there. Like a cafe-the area could use a place to get coffee.

Don't overlook Sunergos ... not walking distance from most parts of Germantown, but close!

Had to look that one up-I wasn't familiar with it. Thanks, Robin!

I think you'll like it, Jesse. Very casual, comfortable vibe, and the guys are REALLY serious about microroasting great coffee.

I just polished off a pot of Sunergos (shake, shakey, shake). Very nice coffee.

Hey Jesse, what part of the 'burg are you in? I live near the corner of Texas and Burnett.

I agree that that would be a great place for a coffee shop! I miss having the Atomic Saucer nearby.

Hi Erin! I am near Ash and Hickory, near the Hara Center, the 19th Hole and the All Wool and a Yard Wide club-I know where Texas is, not so sure about Burnett.

Anyway, there are so many bars nearby-I'm not complaining, but sometimes I'd rather take a walk and get some coffee or tea instead of beer or bourbon.

Burnett is the street where Checks Cafe is located.

Checks used to be the best place in Germantown. Not bad, but not the best in my opinion. Flabbys, couple blocks up the street is better. Tuesdays .. all you can eat wings and taters. German stuff for dinner, about 10/11 dollars and great fried chicken on the weekends. Even has Mazzonis oysters. Owned by the same person as Mazzonis.
